Bringing Bright Ideas to Life – UK & Africa
Although Bright Green Enterprise has been running since 2008, it has under-gone many new development changes within the past 12 months. We have had a fantastic year working with many new schools as well as seeing other much loved schools across the country revisited. In fact, the year has been so busy, we have barely had time to update our news page on the website!
If you have not yet taken a look at our new Facebook page, please do. We already have a growing fan base across the UK and East Africa, and regularly post updates relevant to our work in both regions, as well as what’s going on in the enterprise, education and business world right now.
As well as our events in the UK, we have visited Tanzania in East Africa as part of our TIA Initiative, rolling out workshops for sustainable business focused programmes, suitable for domestic and export markets. We visited the Hay on Wye ‘Festival of Literature and Arts’, hearing some facsinating talks including Rolf Heuer, the Head of CERN in Switzerland; the Times Fesitval of Education, with some of our favourite speakers, including Camilla Batmanghelidjh. As well as this, we have formed new schools business partnerships with some exciting companies; Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, Global Cycle Solutions and Powertraveller and continue to discover and develop new entrepreneurial talent and exciting ‘green’ ideas for business in the next generation.
